Cabela's Abbotsford is located at 1818 McCallum Rd. and is one of two locations in British Columbia. This 70,000-square-foot store is designed to surround customers in an immersive outdoor experience with exterior features including log construction, stonework, wood siding and a metal roof. Inside, visitors will find museum-quality wildlife displays, a large mountain replica, indoor archery range, a gun library, firearms counter, conference room, fudge shop, and Bargain Cave along with thousands of quality hunting, fishing and outdoor products.

In partnership with Silvercore Advanced Training Systems, Cabela’s is pleased to offer Possession Acquisition Licence (PAL) courses. Upon successful completion of this course you will have met the training requirements to apply for your PAL for both non-restricted and restricted firearms.   1. CORE Hunting Course 2017 Dates

In partnership with Silvercore Advanced Training Systems, Cabela’s is pleased to offer The Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Education (CORE) Program. The cost is $195. 

The CORE program is British Columbia's Hunter Education Program. The successful completion of the program is required for B.C. residents who are 10 years of age or over and who wish to obtain a CORE Graduate Certificate and a Fish & Wildlife ID Number.

The CORE Program consists of a practical firearms-handling test, and a written examination on all of the following subjects:

  • Outdoor ethics and game care
  • Firearm handling and archery equipment
  • Hunting regulations
  • Animals of British Columbia
  • Birds of British Columbia
  • Outdoor survival, first aid and field craft
  • Hunter heritage, conservation and wildlife management
